Gdańsk, PL · open for work

Hi, I'm Albert.

Full-stack developer in Gdańsk. Ten years on the frontend, three with Python and Django behind it. These days I decide what gets built as often as I build it.

the long version

How the work changed.

I graduated in civil engineering and never worked a day in it. In 2016 I started learning frontend, and a year later I had my first job as a frontend developer.

In 2020 I co-founded Hype4, a coding agency. For the next three years I built web apps and landing pages for clients in the US, UK, Germany and Poland, led the teams behind them, and in 2022 went full stack with Node.js. Frontend is still where I'm sharpest; the backend I know well enough to own a feature and ask for review on the rest.

At the end of 2022 I exited Hype4 and spent five months freelancing for Inferex, an early-stage AI startup, redesigning and rebuilding their product. In 2023 I joined my current team as a full-stack developer working with Python and Django. In 2026 I took on product work too, and now I spend as much time on specs and the board as in the editor. Deciding what not to build turns out to be most of the job.

I write to stop solving the same problem twice — that became a blog and a book. The CSS art started as a dare: draw a house with no images. Outside work: two German Shepherds, Ramen and Ceres, and the Baltic coast.
